Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
